Tai Chi: Becoming Something More, 5 week series with Rick Rocha, Sundays March 1- March 29 from 1-2PM
Description: Tai Chi is a mind/body practice developed in ancient China. During this course, you will discover what a Tai Chi practice is, and all the benefits you can achieve with regular practice.
It can be a socially fun exercise or your own personal journey. Learn to improve health, physical, emotional, mental, and even spiritual. Develop focus, inner relaxation, and calmness. Physically, Tai Chi gives you coordination and balance. Tai Chi can be a solitary practice, or it can be practiced with another student, such as a family member or friend, who is also learning.
This is a 5 week series, please plan to include all sessions, if possible.
Trauma Conscious Yoga Workshop: Living with Anxiety with Jordan Murphy, 3/21 4:30-6:30PM
Description: Anxiety can show up in a lot of different ways, both mentally and physically. It could lead to a dysregulated nervous system, insomnia, panic attacks, and persistent feelings of overwhelm. In this 2 hour class, we’ll explore a collection of Yoga methodologies that are effective for releasing anxiety and improving overall mental health. For the asana practice, we will move through a gentle flow and end with a guided meditation.
All Levels Chair Yoga: A 2 Hour Mindful Movement Experience with Jennie Backstrom, 3/28 2-4PM
Description: This 2-hour chair yoga workshop offers a supportive, accessible way to move, breathe, and reconnect with your body—no floor work required. Using a chair as our foundation, we’ll explore gentle yoga, joint-friendly movement, affirmations, and deep relaxation to help you feel steadier, more open, and at ease.
Guided by gentle, supported movements that prioritize ease, stability, and mindful awareness, this practice is ideal for all bodies, all ages, and all levels of experience—especially if you’re new to yoga, returning after time away, or seeking a calmer approach to movement. Come as you are. Leave feeling grounded, supported, and renewed.
