Retail Sales Associate + Marketing
We are seeking a friendly, reliable, and creative Retail Sales Associate to join our team
at the Worcester Center for Crafts’ Handcrafted Shop specializing in finished artwork,
handmade gifts, and unique artisan products. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys
working with customers, appreciates the arts, and is comfortable helping promote the
business through social media and community events.
Responsibilities
-Welcome and assist customers with artwork and product selections
-Process sales transactions and handle cash/card payments
-Maintain an organized, clean, and visually appealing retail space
-Assist with merchandising displays and seasonal product setup
-Support inventory management and restocking
-Create or assist with social media content, including posts, stories, promotions, and event marketing
-Help promote store events and community engagement initiatives
-Provide excellent customer service in a professional and positive manner
Availability Requirements
-Must be available to work at least two Saturdays per month
-Required availability for major Craft Center events, especially the Holiday Festival held Friday, Saturday, and Sunday immediately following Thanksgiving
-Flexibility for occasional evening or special event shifts preferred
Qualifications
-Retail or customer service experience preferred
-Interest in art, handmade goods, or creative retail environments
-Basic social media marketing knowledge preferred (Instagram, Facebook)
-Strong communication and interpersonal skills
-Dependable, organized, and self-motivated
-Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred Skills
-Experience creating social media content
-Creative mindset with attention to detail
Position Details
-Part-time position at $18.00 p. hour
-Weekend and seasonal event availability required
