Tales from Wonderland
Join the middle school artists of Worcester Academy (WA) on a journey of self-exploration down the rabbit hole. Taking inspiration from the themes of identity and personal narrative as well as our spring performance of Alice in Wonderland, the students have produced a breadth of incredible works–everything from Pop Art portraiture to digital wonders to their own personal Alebrijes of Mexican folklore. We are proud and excited to be able to share these artworks with you.
Through WA’s middle school service learning partnership with Worcester Center for Crafts (WCC), a group of seven students learned to crochet from a visiting-artist. The students have mastered a variety of stitches and experimented with different products. Our ultimate goal is to donate a minimum of $100 to WCC through the sales from our crochet work as well as reproductions of artwork from other WA middle school artists.
