Phase one of The Growing Wall Sculpture Project was installed in 2021. The pieces from this project reunite artists who are members of the Worcester Center for Crafts family, past and present, who have served as faculty, visiting artists, or artist-in-residents at the Center. The participating artists have expressed their work by handcrafting an 18-inch, leaf-shaped piece from ceramic, glass, or metals. The materials used in this project will represent the studios that dwell within the Worcester Center for Crafts.
We hope to install phase two of the project in 2024. As we look to move into the next phase of our Growing Wall Sculpture Project, we are so excited to announce that we received a very generous $5,000 donation from an anonymous donor!
To progress into the next phase, we are seeking an additional $5,000 to support the artist’s stipend to support this portion of this project. All donations will support artists with costs associated with materials and labor for the public sculpture, as well as funding the completion of the painting on the front wall and purchasing cables for hanging.
Upon project completion, the combined pieces will symbolize a growing art community. The individually designed elements will be joined together and displayed to demonstrate the power of artists working together.
How you can help
We are currently accepting donations to help fund this portion of the project. All amounts are greatly appreciated, and we truly couldn’t do it without you! Thank you for all of your support.
