Priscilla Lo Bio:

Priscilla Lo grew up in Canada in a Chinese immigrant family, where success was often linked to stability and assimilation. After working for over a decade as a health care professional, she turned to art as a way to explore identity and voice. She was drawn to glass for its dual nature, always shifting between fragility and permanence. Her work often carries a sense of nostalgia and play, while also asking questions about how women, particularly immigrant women, are positioned within cultural and racial frameworks. Through this lens, she seeks to both affirm shared experiences and spark conversation about the systems that shape them. Priscilla holds a Bachelor of Craft and Design from Sheridan College and a Master of Fine Arts from Illinois State University. She has completed residencies at various institutions and is the 2024 recipient of the Saxe Emerging Artist Award.
